Starbucks is giving its Frappuccino blended beverages a new fruit twist that will turn an escape to the beach into a tropical retreat. Starting today, Starbucks debuts Pomegranate Frappuccino juice blend and Tangerine Frappuccino juice blend made with fruit juice and freshly-brewed Tazo tea.

For the next month, until July 24, 2006, Cafe Avion Coffee Roasting Co. is donating $1 to the Ninety-Nines for every pound it sells of its new "Aviatrix" blend. Each dollar that Cafe Avion donates to the Ninety-Nines will go towards a scholarship fund that helps female pilots cover the cost of their flight training.

Brazil, the world’s biggest coffee producer and exporter, said coffee inventories fell 31 percent at the end of last year from a year earlier as rising international demand led farmers to boost sales.
The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) is deeply disappointed that Starbucks continues to drag its heels on a five-year-old commitment to offer consumers an alternative to milk and dairy products derived from cows injected with Monsanto’s controversial recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH). Furthermore OCA is outraged that company staff in at least one Starbucks location in Washington, DC threw numerous signed letters against rBGH from paying customers into the trash when these customers attempted to give them to the manager.
