Not only are there many health benefits of green tea, it is also very enjoyable to drink as well. Normally, nothing that is remotely good for us tends to taste so good, but not so with green tea. It's role in promoting health has been much in the news during the last few years and there is ample evidence that, consumed in moderation, it does indeed aid many aspects of functioning. Some green tea medical benefits have been known for over a thousand years.
According to Shakespeare, 'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.' In the case Redbush or Rooibos tea, that should read 'taste as sweet'. Derived from the Afrikaans word for red bush, Rooibos is not a true tea as it comes from a plant called Aspalathus Linearis, rather than the Camellia Sinensis, which is generally used for making tea.
Regardless of what some folks may think, white tea is not black tea with too much milk added to it. Instead, the name refers to leaves that are picked from the same plant as green tea, but which undergo a very different process. It begins with the rolled buds of the Camellia Sinensis plant, but suffers no oxidation.
