Tea Storage
Fresh tea leaves start to lose their delicate and refined flavors as soon as they are exposed to air. It is for
that reason that tea storage is of the utmost importance. Tea should always be stored either in a tea tin, tea
caddy or an sealed airtight container. The storage medium should also be odor free since tea will quickly pick up
any smell that it is exposed to. Moisture is also an enemy of good tea, which means the storage container should be
completely dry putting tea inside. In addition, tea should never be stored in a refrigerator or deep-frozen. With
proper and careful storage, most teas will keep for up to six months while green tea should be consumed within
three months.
